We’ve been driving uptake in electric vehicles, working on charging station projects and collaborating to deliver our Shire’s first EV bulk-buy.
The Hepburn EV Bulk-Buy was a first for mainland Australia, delivered in partnership between Hepburn Energy and The Good Car Company. The Bulk-Buy offered second hand Japanese Nissan Leafs certified to meet Australian Standards. This program kicked off in November and closed in December 2020.
The Hepburn Shire is installing three more electric vehicle (EV) charging stations thanks to a new collaboration between Chargefox, Hepburn Energy and the Hepburn Shire Council. Chargefox secured $89,500 through the Victorian Government’s Destination Charging Across Victoria Program (DCAV) for the three 50 KW DC fast-chargers. The three DCAV charging stations will be installed in Creswick, Hepburn Springs and Trentham.
Hepburn Energy installed our Shire’s first electric vehicle charging station at the Daylesford Town Hall in 2016 and updated it in 2020. This 25kW DC charging station can do 130-150kms per hour and is located outside the Daylesford Town Hall and is part of the ChargeFox network.
